For more on Loston Harris visit his website at: http://www.lostonharris.com Loston Harris II is one of the hottest new pianists on the scene today in the U.S.A. The young virtuoso is wise beyond his years with styling reminiscent of the great Ahmad Jamal. Trained under Geri Allen among others, it was Ellis Marsalis who first encouraged Harris to put down the drums, his instrument of preference in high school and college, and pursue the piano. Harris studied under Marsalis and would eventually make his international debut playing with his mentor's son, Wynton Marsalis. Harris has not only distinguished himself as a future great performer but as a potentially masterful composer as well. Of the ten tunes on this debut CD, eight of the tracks are originals composed by Harris. He's a real comer that you won't want to miss. Catch him in his early days and watch him develop. And remember where you heard about him first...on Totown Records. We licensed the original product for manufacturing and distribution from our good friend and associate Ed Wiley III, president of Swing Records in Washington. D.C. Ed was the first to record Harris and must be credited with this great discovery. Check it out! Also check our Video screening room in the near future for video coverage of Harris at work with Wynton Marsalis. (Mal Adams -President Totown Records) "Incredibly
fluid playing….Harris never fails to impress." "A
Significant Keeper of the Standards Tradition." "Loston
plays with a lot of fire and intelligence." "hip of
suburban cool"

son of an Education Specialist and a Military
Officer, Loston was born in Bangkok, Thailand
and was well-traveled from a young age. He
first attended college at Virginia
Commonwealth University, later matriculating
at Howard University. Interestingly enough,
Loston was a percussionist throughout his
early studies, switching to piano at the
advice of his new professor Ellis Marsalis,
father of the famed Marsalis jazz family and
mentor of several other famous jazz artists,

New Hit Single "GET OUT" Now On Advanced Sale The latest from the "Nu Jazz Funk" factory of Asia. TeeLuv makes a timely social commentary calling for the U.S. military to "Get Out" of Iraq and end the occupation of that sovereign nation. His words are prophetic, now that the quagmire in Iraq is well underway with American soldiers being killed everyday long after the so called combat phase has ended. It is clear that the intelligence used to justify the war was false and that the American people and the world were lied to by the Bush administration to justify their actions. Let's join TeeLuv in his call for them to "GET OUT" and bring our soldiers home to their families and friends. Totown Records dedicates this song to all the soldiers and civilians who have perished in this and all wars of the world. Send e-mail to records@totown.net To order this song.
